Just One Thing Missing
The latest clock case came through it's glaze firing well, as good as I hoped for, especially given my misgivings about the clear glaze I used. Happily imperfections are quite slight and I am very pleased with how it has worked out. A friend at pottery this evening, who works with glass has offered to make some coloured panes for the windows, with a string of led lights inside this could look magical. We'll see.
A less busy day at Aber Cafe today passed quickly and happily with a curious moment as we finished. A chap on the train called out to me, "Are you from Norfolk?" I hadn't noticed him before nor did I recognise him but he clearly thought he knew me and having established that I lived in Norwich as he did, he went on to ask if I worked in the library service. I didn't but I think our paths must have crossed, perhaps in he was a customer in my old line of work. There's nothing in my accent to identify that I lived there for forty years and he was too spot on in identifying me as from Norwich for it to be just a random guess. The train he was on departed before we could enquire further of each other.
