Iris

This sunny dry spell shows no sign of ending. If the BBC wearier app is accurate we won’t see rain for another fortnight. If so it will be the longest sunny spell I can remember.

All the garden flowers are coming into bloom early. From nowhere the first iris appeared restoring colour to the garden. Whether they will last well find out. Some magnificent rhododendron at the top of the road are fading quickly.

A busy news day! I discover I am approx 2 weeks younger than the new Pope. Why does that make me feel old?
