For Jerry: in Memoriam

I was going to write about my thoughts on the new American Pope, but I just talked to our friend Mary who called to tell us that her husband died on Sunday. We have been friends with Jerry since he and John worked together at Chevron.  We've had many adventures together, backpacking, helping each other move when none of us had any money, traveling together and laughing a lot. Jerry was loud, brash and full of life. He would be horrified by the fact that I am posting a picture of angel wings to remember him by, but might forgive me when he realized that the wings are made from old cutlery. Rest in Peace, Jerry. We will miss you.
