Underneath the Arches
We returned home to find our supply of Greek dried olives totally exhausted. So today I drove to the wonderful Mega Continental Delicatessen in West End. My route took me along the intriguingly named Dornoch (pronounced around here as 'door knock') Terrace. I read that it was given that name in the 1860s, after a Scottish town (village?) of that name from where some early Brisbane settlers had come. Along the Terrace, I stopped at Highgate Hill Park and photographed city high-rise buildings through the 1910 bandstand rotunda.
