VE Day preparations, Richmond

We'd been planning a visit to Richmond (Yorkshire) for a while now, and today seemed an ideal opportunity to visit. Set off after breakfast in glorious Cumbrian Sunshine, the further we drove East, the cloudier it got!

Nonetheless, Richmond was a lovely town, with a few interesting shops, and some great cafes. Photographically, I found it a little challenging, as all the large squares - which photographically were lovely - were all used as car parks. 

Did find this old telephone box though, now used as an information display. A lady was just setting it up as I passed, so I managed to get a photograph before the door was shut and locked. I suppose even in Richmond, this might run the risk of being stolen.

Made an appropriate Blip though.
