a lifetime burning

Blousy

It's hard to do justice to the flowers of the Oriental Poppy in garden.  The size of side plate, they're ridiculously scarlet but I thought I'd give it a go today, for want of a better blip subject.

Today is Cathy and my 38th wedding anniversary (where did all those years go?), and neither of us is feeling completely 100% this year, so we've decided to celebrate it quietly at home.  There's some salmon en croute waiting to go in the oven shortly, and a half bottle of champagne is ready in the fridge when we're ready for it :-)
