Leaves in the sunshine

It was only a few weeks ago that I posted a photo of the last of the hedge beech leaves and I found it hard at the time to even see any buds.

Now it is fully leaved - I find that quite wonderful. The hedge looks great this evening in the sunshine.

We have young Thrushes and Blackbirds in the garden but they are kept well hidden in the undergrowth beneath the hedges, such as this one, all around the garden. Occasionally we see a young one out in the open but they are very quickly pushed back into hiding.
