A seat in the sun

Out for lunch with friends today and on the way home sis and I had a brief visit to Greenbank Gardens. It was really too hot for me but it was lovely to walk in such a lovely green space.
Plenty of birdsong and bees but no butterflies.

Had to water the garden once the sun had left it in shadow ..... the earth is brick hard although the grass is showing no sign of being devoid of moisture ... yet!
