Mother and offspring
On the way to The Mart, I took a detour to check on progress at Amisfield walled garden. It used to be totally overgrown with weeds and now, a decade later, the volunteers have done an amazing job. Our kids have helped out over the years and it’s great to see community initiatives like this thriving.
Then it was onwards to East Linton for coffee in the sunshine while listening to the summer sounds from A Love Supreme, I was inspired to purchase a couple of lovers’ rock twelve inchers. It was also good to check their racks and see that my Smiths 12 inch singles were a sound investment. I then took a high risk strategy by saying to a young woman that I recognised her face and asked if she’d massaged me in a shepherds hut in the past. Thankfully she had. Thankfully she had also massaged Mrs S and Ossian (on separate occasions) so that slightly nullified the potential embarrassment.
Then it was into The Mart for some food and drink provisions.
Home to do very little other than sit in the sun and read a book. Great stuff.
