Interesting tour of lanhydrock

Got up early to walk the dogs then met my sister at lanhydrock.
I had seen on Facebook that they were offering an interesting tour about how they look after Lanhydrock.
We were taken down into the boiler room and told about the tunnels under the building that take all the pipes for water and sewage, about the underground reservoirs and how they are going to try to be more self sufficient by having a borehole and geothermal energy (but being a listed building and parklands everything takes so long because of all the permissions they have to get). When we finished she asked if there was anything else we wanted to do, I asked if we could go up into the gatehouse (it's the oldest part of lanhydrock) she agreed and the bottom 2 photos were taken from the top floor.
This afternoon met 2 friends at Cardinham and we walked our joint 6 dogs, finishing with coffee and cake after.
