Snuggled Up

Went to Mourão's beach this afternoon - which is actually totally underwater at the moment, plus it was quite cold, windy, and only occasionally sunny. We all stayed firmly dressed, while Tom jumped in (extra), and Eden played on the edge of the water with her bucket, getting fairly wet.

The few passing locals, dressed in their woolies, confirmed in their belief that foreigners are crazy.

Gratefuls:
- slow morning at home, getting stuff done, like washing,  gardening, and cooking, and Mike making a hidey hole for the cats (which, of course, they are ignoring)
- Energia being so understanding about a clash with her coming here, though I do feel quite sad about it
- Eden enjoying our old books, that her Mum once enjoyed, including Corduroy, first published in 1968, about a bear who rides on an escalator
