Apple Blossom

Today I got The Man to lop off all the lovely flowering branches of the apple tree. Madness?

Well, no, maybe not the right time of year to prune a fruit tree, but not madness. We have two apple trees in the corner of our garden, a cultivated one and, behind it, a crab apple. They are both growing vigorously out over the lawn and I just need to claim back my garden. It's part of sorting my life out. The fruit isn't edible, anyway.

I couldn't let this year's blossom go without another blip of it. There will be more next year.

After a bit of shopping I got on with more sorting of plants in the patio pots. The Man gave the garden another watering tonight as we're supposed to be in for a hot weekend.
