And They Sang

Our friends Mike and Cindy got us tickets to go see The Ambassadors, comprised of top-notch singers at our alma mater...Fenton High School.

The students were exceptional, with each of the 19 students having good voices, with a couple of the girls having great voices In addition to the 19 voices, there were 6-7 musicians behind them backing them up.

The first part was singing and choreography, while the 2nd part was a dramatic and comedic take on The Wizard of Oz. Both acts were enjoyable.

What even Lisa didn't know was that some 56 years ago, I was a member of the singing group and was probably the only person to NEVER try out. I was in the regular choir, but I would wait around for a buddy that was in the group and would take part in the practices. The leader let me hang around and then asked if I would like to just finish out the school year. I did.

Encouraging to see our young people doing something they love and something they are VERY good at.
