So green…….

The spring colour in this endless sunshiney-spring is extraordinary.  I only managed a short walk this morning but made sure I did the circuit through the privately owned deciduous bit of woodland at the top of the lane.  Green forever and a mile and the sun shimmering through the still translucent beech leaves.  Our beech trees are finally open, the one in front more fully than the one at garden side.  It’s so dry though, the garden is already a dust bowl but I’m sure we’ll play catch up with the rain later.  

I had reading to do this morning and kept focussed in the barn.  Then at lunch I whizzed to get more compost and a present for Jodhi from SpaceNK so as to have something portable on the train tomorrow.   Then into a zoom, intercepting Holly on the front doorstep come to pick up her forgotten umbrella. 

Then over to Mum for a cup of tea and to show her the photos of the party.   Then back to pot up some bare-root poppies that someone has given Vikram that I need to find a space for. Bit late in the year really.  

Cooked some sea bass for dinner and watched the last episode of The Studio that’s available.
