When You Need Another Hero
Today started very early again but thankfully my cold had begun to abate somewhat and whilst I didn't quite feel as fresh as a daisy I was at least daisy adjacent.
Proceedings commenced with finding another mouse in one of our humane traps which we had set outside where we we thought the little blighters might be getting in. This one was quite a bit bigger than yesterday's and much livelier. Again we took the quick trip back to our local recreation ground to release the little fella in the same spot as yesterday.
It was then back home for me to start prepping my 'legendary' shoulder of slow roasted pork for our Easter dinner - with the extremely early odd glass of wine to facilitate my culinary endeavours.
The rest of the day was spent eating a truckload of chocolate whilst still being able to wolf down a whole roast dinner later and wash it down with several more glasses of wine.
It was only in my post meal lethargy that I suddenly remembered I hadn't got an image for the day. Then for some reason I recalled that my brother had found a tiny blue superhero figurine on one of our recent local photographic safaris and that it was still residing in the back of our camera bag.
I felt I needed to create some kind of scene for my shot which is when I came across a Latvian alphabetically themed calendar (as you do!) and a shard of one of my old robots which had sadly been rent asunder after a fall from our mantlepiece and decided to combine them with our superhero friend whilst shooting it through the bars of our clothes drier to add another graphic element.
So with regret I have to go against that icon of pop Tina Turner and decry that sometimes we do need another hero! :-)
