Pasaka
Easter.
It’s my niece’s fourth birthday and she showed me a macabre Easter bunny she’d painted: a hybrid of Elsa from Frozen and a vampire.
I made a rare appearance for food close to the city centre of Dar es Salaam and then went for a walk under threatening grey skies. Spotting rain turned to a persistent drizzle and then a heavy downpour. I had to find somewhere to wait when sheltering under trees and random canopies would no longer suffice. This was close to the National Audit Office, which occupies a building reminiscent of a cartoon villain’s lair. I can’t imagine an auditor stepping out of here with a particularly cheery demeanour.
I celebrated Easter by eating a bar of Dairy Milk. The one with biscuit bits in it.
