Friday: Richmond

It was K’s birthday today - we’ve had a lovely day, helped by the weather being very good.

We started the day with breakfast at our local café (actually more of a greasy spoon) before heading over to B&Q to pick up a few plants for the garden (partly to replace those that have been decimated by slugs) and other household luxuries, such as a new bucket for £1 (I gave K that for her birthday - she was delighted!).  

From there to Richmond (where this was taken) where we did a bit of shopping and had a pleasant stroll around.  K has picked up a few good reads in the charity shops too so that was satisfying.  K was gifted some Waitrose vouchers so we had fun spending those on treats and snacks.

This evening we fired up the barbecue and took it for a successful first outing.

It was a very good day of many parts.
