A Perfect Day
Henry and I set off to visit two museums today. This is the McManus Gallery, a truly first rate museum. Henry’s personal opinion, “Wow!” His favorite painting in the “Weathers Eye” exhibit is A Donkey in a Snowstorm. He said it reminded him a bit of Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh. Then we visited the V&A, museum of design. (In extras) I went particularly to see the Charles Ronnie Macintosh Oak Room which was from a tea house in Glasgow. I went to the Willows a couple of years ago, another Macintosh tearoom. (Note to self, never give a wee mouse a bunch of balloons on a windy day!) After a wee rest, I had an early dinner at The Trades House restaurant just up the street from the hotel. (Gorgeous stain glass windows.) I had a wonderful vegan burger and Henry had a wee plate of Scottish cheese. Another warm day tomorrow as I travel to Edinburgh. And the adventure for Henry and me continues!
