Never again
A day trip to Amsterdam. To see the play 'Sitcom' by De Hoe in the Brakke Grond.
But the photo of the day must be this one. We discovered the 'Plantage' , once the neighborhood where the most Jewish people live. We stumbled upon this very moving memorial. 'Never again Auswitz'. It's a work from writer/artist Jan Wolkers. He chose for cracked mirrors, ('the blue sky will always be broken'), in remembrance to the Jewish victims of nazism.
Appropriate on this May 8th, the day on which we Belgians commemorate the end of World War II.
