Woodpecker
Early start over to Mere Sands Wood nature reserve. Over 100 acres of an old sand extraction site, now lakes and woodland thanks to the wonderful people at Lancashire Wildlife trust.
It was a beautiful day, the woods were full of birdsong (& the lunatic hammering of woodpeckers). The edges of the lakes* were alive with damselflies & dragonflies too.
And I took a battered old 1970s lens on my camera.
A lovely day.
