WITH A SONG IN MY HEART

By lizzie_birkett

Another Lino Day!

I booked onto another Lino Print course a couple of weeks ago and today was the day!
What an amazing day it was. Sean Willis the tutor is a very talented artist and lino printer who does workshops all over the country in village halls and other places. This course was in the next village - Long Preston.
There were 30 people on the course and it was so well organised,  we were provided with everything we needed,  including coffee, tea and homemade ginger biscuits.
Nothing was too much trouble for Sean and his partner Suzanne.
After the initial introduction we got on with our carving and printing. Sean and Suzanne were so helpful and on hand for anyone who needed help or guidance.
This course was much better than the 6 week one I did previously and I learnt a lot more. Including which ink was the best to use, I had been using the wrong type!
The course was worth every penny of the £35.
He will be doing another one at some point - Reduction printing which uses more than one colour.

My prints are in extra, the red one was the initial trial one.
I feel inspired!

Another beautiful day, though I was in the village hall for 5 hours!

When I got home Frank was out with Bella so I sat in the garden for a while with a cuppa and pottered around the garden pulling a few weeds.

We wanted to carry on watching Mad Men tonight but our telly is playing up again. We could hear the dialogue but there was no picture. This happens quite often, sometimes on BBC iPlayer and sometimes on Netflix.
We gave up in the end and switched it off.

Goodnight Blippers. :-) X
