You’re fired!

This is Dear Leader’s most favorite phrase, harking back to his glory days on The Apprentice… yesterday, he used it on the head of the Library of Congress, Carla Hayden. His office cites “quite concerning things that she had done at the Library of Congress in the pursuit of DEI and putting inappropriate books in the library for children.”

Ms Hayden was the first woman and first African American appointed to that position in 2016 for 10 years by then President Obama, and fully confirmed by Congress (which is more than can be said about any of tRump’s white appointees — none of whom underwent any approval process…) I’m guessing she was guilty of being Black and even more so of having been appointed by Dear Leader’s all-time nemesis.

Just FYI on the reason for the firing (inappropriate children books): the primary function of the Library of Congress is to support the legislative work of the U.S. Congress, serving as the research arm of the legislative branch. It also administers the national copyright system and preserves and provides access to the world's largest collection of books, recordings, photographs, maps, and manuscripts. The library has a copy of every book published in the US. But a library for children it is not. Of course, this is something the regime probably doesn’t know and Dear Leader isn’t known for ever reading anything (except a McD’s menu perhaps…)

History will award them a mention for the dumbest meanest and most incompetent regime ever.
