Turkey vultures circling over the lake. One minute they were there, the next they'd gone. Only one shot taken.

Not sure what would attract them in the lake, dead fish maybe. If it were desert, they would be buzzards.

Apparently, due their stomach acid they can eat anything, including anthrax tainted carcasses, and so provide the world with essential cleaning services.
