Life in Canada

B.R.A.V.E.

We had our first ever multicultural night at our school and it was a huge success! I was asked to photograph the event and I was more than happy to but with 1000 people in attendance, taking photos was a bit of a challenge.  Next year, I will definitely make a few suggestions.

B.R.A.V.E. stands for Black Resilient Advocates for Vibrant Empowerment. The ladies who run this program in our school, organized this event but made it multicultural so it would be inclusive to our school population. There were dance performances, music, and an African fashion show. It was incredible!

The sisters in my main blip, simply looked adorable together.  Their 5 year old brother is one of our students who has ASD (I have not featured him...yet!). He was there but too distraught by the crowd to have his photo taken.

In extras,  are two sets of sisters who performed cultural dances, and a few of the models from the fashion show.

Now I have about 500 photos to edit/sort. Have a wonderful Mother's Day tomorrrow, my North American blipmoms! xo
