Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

2025 Thursday — Bible Study Fellowship

Today was the grand finale of our BSF study thru the Book of Revelation. We started the study the second Thursday in September and now we’ve completed the entire book. The past few weeks I have had “spring fever” and doing homework hasn’t been hard, I just haven’t felt like doing any book work.

This morning’s gathering was very meaningful. We all brought food to enjoy a breakfast before starting our formal time together. Each person told about outstanding moments that occurred for them during these months of study and what stood out for them from the book of Revlation. The sharing was very transparent and meaningful. There was a lot of laughter and a few tears.

One of the thoughts I shared was that a word or thought that stood out for me is “transparency.” My 3 subpoints is God’s transparency; my classmates transparency ; and my transparency. The Book of Revelation is filled with moments where God is pulling back the curtain to reveal what will happen in the end of time; what is going to happen to those who do not believe in Jesus and what will happen to the Christ-followers. The book, the words, are quite vivid and understandable. People do not go to heaven just because they want to. I was quite amazed as the chapters reveal a humanity that is self-centered and also quite stubborn. The transparency of the gals in my group was very helpful. And then I told about my own thoughts and that’s I realize now more than ever that the Book of Revelation is not just about dates, numbers, and symbolism. I thoroughly enjoyed the pageantry, the ceremony, and the celebration of the marriage supper in several sections.

At the end of our morning, we gathered for a group photo. This was a bitter sweet morning — I’m tired and ready for a break, but I have also very much enjoyed being with these lovely humans once a week.

From California’s Central Coast,
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
and Chloe & Mitzi too!
