Spiders webs

have been covering the landscape as young spiders parachute on long strands of web to disperse. Its known as "ballooning" and happens at this time of the year. We have come home from our few days away to find threads everywhere. I walked to the letterbox this afternoon and got covered in them.  We can see them floating through the air past our windows.
