Cleaned up that lens. Didn't take too long. Looks quite good, aside from some slight marks on the outside, and as I discovered whilst cleaning it, a couple of wee scratches to the coating of the front element. That may have been when someone at MPB cleaned it, as in in one of their photos there were fine spots of paint on it. No paint on the front element when it arrived. Those wee scratches will probably have a negligible effect on photos, but that they'll always reduce a lens's value.

Bus; swim; haircut; shop; bus home. Too late to bed last night, left me weary today, especially in the pool. Very heavy shower was starting as I walked from the bus stop. Just made it in before the main downpour.
