Birthday boy

J’s birthday today. He and L had their usual bash at our house though they kept it smaller this year. J is entertaining the guests here (mainly the young ones) with a large bubble kit. It was a great day for them all and we just about coped with the catering and clearing up. The weather was perfect, they were very lucky. They have a great bunch of friends that get on so well together and their kids are now part of that, which is lovely to see.
It didn’t go on as late as it would have done pre-children though they still missed out on some sleep because of various children waking up during the night
