New bits

Several years ago I drove the tractor mower into the corner of the decking, bending the front axle into a u shape. Nigel the mower magician took it off hit it with a hammer a few times and got it nearly straight again. He told me it was only a temporary repair that needed sorting out properly.
In the intervening years he has done various other jobs including sorting out the grass collection box and sharpening the blades several times. Last time he said there was no metal left to sharpen, the blades needed replacing. He also he told me the two tyres that kept on deflating needed to be replaced or have some stuff ( my word not his) pumped in.
Well I have taken his advice. Admittedly the advise was given last October but it still has been taken. Today Nigel spent a few hours with us had several cups of tea and did all the bits and more, he replaced lots of filters as well.
The blip shows my new axel and the end but that connects it to the rest of the machine. I have just done a cut and it was perfect.
It's good having a Nigel, he comes whenever we have problems, he sorts them out when and there and does not charge the earth. When you are driving a 25 year old mower he is essential.
