The Azalea Lawn

Clouded over a bit today, but still quite warm. We wandered over to the Botanics, had lunch there and a walk through the Azalea Lawn which is maybe just past its best, but still vibrantly colourful. The scent is also beautiful.

We walked back through Inverleith Park to see how things were progressing. We had spotted that the coot on the nest looked like she was hiding some newly hatched cootlings and we managed a better view this time (extra). I could see at least three at one point. At the other end of the pond the swan was as boring as ever, but I did see one egg. I’m not holding my breath on that one.
