Green Hairstreak Butterfly

A good relaxed solo walk Old Glossop to Mossylea Farm and the one past the field barn and down the Doctor’s Gate path round a few corners until a view of Bleaklow ahead.

Very good for butterflies with many Small Heath and a few Green Hairstreak plus my first Small Copper of the year.

Green Tiger Beetles much in evidence

Bad news on returning to the car - a puncture. Luckily I was able to drive it carefully to the local garage. “A standard repair” £25 done in under 30mins. super service!

I should have just waited as I went very tired walking up home and had to stop to catch my breath a couple of times. It was hot and tired from the walk and carrying too many things as well. soon felt better when I collected the car.
