Pretty lights in a little church ...

The sun came out at just the right time to make pretty patterns for anyone to contemplate - if they didn't want to stare at the crazy paving type home-made rock face for the Virgin Mary's grotto - whilst kneeling in this small church in the Pas de Calais.

As lunchtime crept on the town became deserted ... even Julie Retro shop. Great to see traditional French life is still going strong iutside of the cities. It has made me quite nostalgic. I did suggest I may need to start a mini project capturjng old doors, windows, shops and signs as they seem to be being swept away by standard fare. So - you may see the pork and horse butcher's sign before we leave ... if you are lucky!
