The day 'spoilt itself' as the French say and the blue skies of the morning gave way to threatening clouds and a brisk wind.
We had a post prandial coffee at No. 20. Sébastien makes shite coffee to be honest, but is renowned for his selection of wine and spirits. I admire him for his goût de l'étrange..... His terrace resembles a decent brocante with a mismatch of beautiful old armchairs and carpenter's blocks for tables. His crockery is as eclectic; an odd soddery of porcelaine saucers and tea cups, plates and coffee pots. Above it all hang these chandeliers which I noticed for the first time today as the storm clouds darkened over the Square.
