Leball Woods

We had a very wet morning. I needed to go to Trago Mills so walked the dogs at Leball Woods, surprisingly we were totally on our own LOL. Keely wasn't too impressed with getting so wet, but we all had a good walk. Got what I needed at Tragos, plus a new toolbox. The one my husband bought me many years ago (because I had more tools and was better at DIY than he was) had broken several years ago.
Dina was amazing in the woods, she suddenly appeared with a very dead, smelly, baby badger. She wasn't going to give it up with Keely showing interest in it. I was so impressed how gundog training transferred to normal life. I got her to sit and stay. Got Keely away and threw some treats behind her so she was busy finding them. I then asked Dina to give me the badger, she promptly dropped it at my feet, I quickly clipped her lead on praised her and we watched away from the carcass and maggots. She didn't look back, Keely joined us (she had no interest in the badger since Dina didn't have it). A little further down the track I let Dina off and no interest in the badger.
