Actually, that's wrong. It was only the Scotswoman who walked into the bar. The bar at the world famous Gleneagles Hotel no less.

The world famous Gleneagles Hotel in Scotland, that is, as opposed to the world famous Gleneagle(no plural) Hotel in Southern Ireland.

Now, I wouldn't dream of telling you that the wonderful Z over in Ireland intended to buy a voucher for the Irish hotel but accidentally chose the Scottish one, or that she couldn't get a refund, or that she generously gifted the voucher to me and refused payment for it, or that I went there in my borrowed Rolls Royce and had the most enjoyable day out in years.

Because nobody would believe that......would they?
