Warbler in the Reeds

I'd noticed a stag on the way back from the supermarket yesterday, but frustratingly didn't have a camera with me, so I went back to the location this morning first thing, in the hope he might still be around. While I did find four red deer, there was only one juvenile male.

While there I had a quick walk alongside a large pool and was fortunate to see a heron in flight (see extra), as well as a young family of ducklings. I was also being serenaded by a reed warbler, but try as I might I couldn't get a clear shot. Instead I was left with this, and similar images, but I thought it was worth sharing as this is exactly the habitat you'd expect to see them (or not, as the case may be).

We popped over to L's mom's house to make use of the washing machine and do a bit of extra tidying, though Her sister had done a good job while we were away to get it ready for the photographer on Tuesday.
