Not quite Herbie...

...but still rather cute!

I spotted this old Beetle in a used car lot on my morning walk yesterday and decided that it would make a suitable blip subject sometime: in case it disappeared I decided to go back and photograph it today. I reckon from its registration it dates from 1970-71 (many thanks to JohnRH for keeping me right about that!).

It's probably just as well that I got a blip in the bag early, as I had to "get down and dirty" urgently this afternoon and blippers wouldn't have enjoyed a photo of what I was doing! After months of ignoring the progressively slower draining of water from our kitchen sink, we were met with an almost total blockage this afternoon. The pipework is quite complex so it took a while to dismantle it and clean out all the foul sludge but now it's running away like Niagara.
