A Victory in Europe 80th Anniversary event

The day started with a trip to the Leisure Centre with B. I was focused on finishing the Super Hero ted that I was making last night, so that I could take it to the event this afternoon.

It was being held at Hales Hall caravan and camping park. A very nice looking place, which is new to us. There was lots to see and war time music and songs. We went to a talk about the events that occurred over the  six years, given by a historian. A sneaky look round the audience lead me to believe that I was about the oldest person in the audience. At least I knew the words to the songs !!! It was very thought provoking and brought back many memories. 

The stand in front of the hall is the Help the Heroes charity which I support and make things for. 

The weather was beautiful and it was well attended. 

On the way home we collected Olive and fed the cats. R & S are away for the night to attend a fancy dress party. We are doing animal care duties.
