Airing

Next weekend I’m on the move again and I need some camping gear so I fished around today. Fusty is a mild word for what I found and I had to drape and hang things to air outside. Sleeping bags are prime candidates for fustiness because they are rarely washed, meaning in a humid tropical climate the mould has a ripe hunting ground. Despite heavy rain and generally wet and cloying weather, when I gathered them in the evening, everything was smelling marginally fresher.
