Glen Affric .

I’ve wanted to visit this fairly remote Glen for quite a number of years but never quite managed it ,
We walked along one side of the river and then Loch Affric enjoying both the views of the mountains and the closeness of the trees that grace the sides of the Glen , remnants of the ancient Caledonian forest that colonised the region after the last ice age . Bramble managed the walk but it was very slow going, we left her in the van while we did a couple of shorter walks .work to support the trees to naturally regenerate has been going on here for over 60 years and I was keen to experience the sights, sounds, smells of this remote place . The light has faded as I’ve been writing , time to make up the bed !
