Burning in Hope
Church this morning and it was one of those days where I had lots of information to pass onto people. (Twice, because one lady can never hear me even though I use the mic so I have to tell her everything again. I offered her my notes in case that would help, but no she just seems to like a 1 : 1 version, lol.)
One of the items was about this little candle which I received at the Cathedral yesterday, we burned it symbolically yesterday as we prepared to do our bit in the search for our new Bishop.
I spent much of the afternoon planning for the interview day for our own search - interviews will be on 24th May and we're away next weekend so I need to know everything is in place.
In the evening I met with the other church warden and we planned out the timetable for the day. We're getting there. Hopefully I didn't miss the last of the good weather, It seems to have cooled off a lot.
I had a very happy phone call and later some photos from my son in law and family too. He completed his last Munro. He'd deliberately left a family friendly one till last so Katy and the girls and 15 other walking friends from University days and a golden retriever all joined him as they went up Mr Keen yesterday. They then spent the afternoon on the beach at Lunan Bay. They'd been camping nearby, such a lovely, happy time of celebration, they all met when they were 18 and they are now in their 40s with their children coming along too.
