Afternoon tea

A day up in London to meet up with Adam. He’d bought me an afternoon tea voucher for Christmas present which we’d booked for today. We started at Japan House which had a carpentry exhibition on. Interesting and with a beautiful smell of wood! Then a browse around the very expensive shop there - lots of beautiful things to buy but rather pricey.

Then onto the main event. It was a lovely setting, outside in the courtyard garden - we certainly didn’t feel in the centre of London. Very nice food - fresh scones, tasty sandwiches and small cakes. We got through most of it and only took a couple of things home with us. It was very nice to have some time just the two of us for a change.
