Diary of an Edinburgher

No bed bugs!

Another no-gym day for JR, but 10,000 steps, so not bad. Maybe tomorrow...

I was very slow this morning, because JR was up and took Archie out early, so no need to rush. Eventually, Archie and I went round the Links. It was sunny, but I was very glad that at the last minute, I slung on my gilet - you can still come round a corner and be met by an Arctic blast... We spotted this bed and bedding. The note said, 'FREE. No bed bugs, just no longer needed'... bad timing, as students are sort of packing up to leave soon.

JR wanted to go and look at frying pans. We need a new, nice, proper one. We have quite a few old ones, and we inherited a few from Uncle A (he seemed to keep buying them) but they do need to be chucked out. Especially as we have a couple of house/dog sitters coming to live here in the summer while we're off glavanting.

I have been building up, for a week or so, to giving Archie a haircut... and today, I just decided today was the day. He was really very very hairy, and my clippers had a bit of a tough job. It's quite a job, and by the time I'd done his body and legs, I'd had enough, so the beard, ears and eyebrows will get a little more attention tomorrow. You should see the pile of hair that comes off him! You could knit a jumper.

A little visitor tomorrow!
