Another Beautiful Day!

Henry and I had a splendid day touring to Northumbria to see Alnwick Castle (pronounced An-ick) in England.  But first we stopped in Kelso to see the famous ruins of Kelso Abbey.  Henry was very brave scampering up.  Then we stopped at the equally famous Barter Books, the UK’s largest used bookstore.  I was in heaven!  But no time to stop as we had to visit the, again, famous Poison Garden at Alnwick Castle the home to the Duke of Northumbria and the site of the filming of both Harry Potter and Downtown Abbey.  On our way back to Edinburgh we stopped briefly to see Bamburgh Castle. Phew!  Late back to the hotel and Henry and I are ready for bed!
