Is White a Colour?

My late mum used to say not. But here contrasted with the purple, it looks very beautiful whether a colour or not. 
Today a swift trip to the garden centre, paperwork and then to collect Noah from school and take him to his swimming lesson. That seems to have consumed most of the day. It (continues to be) all go!
