Unique
After a comfortable overnight stay in Bristol we headed out (avoiding road closures for the half-marathon) for the West Midlands. Some while ago our good friend Reg, owner of a beautifully restored Jensen Interceptor convertible asked if I’d like to try a recreate a special photo. The photo was a picture of the very car in 1974, outside its first owners house. Reg had contacted the now owners of the property who were up for it. Having arrived it was clear we couldn’t completely replicate the photo due to maturing trees and hedges but we gave it a good go. I’ve got a bit of post processing to do to see how close a match I can make, great fun.
Having gone our separate ways, it was too good an opportunity not to go and look at the shortest commercial railway line in the UK, Stourbridge Junction to Stourbridge Town. It has completely unique rolling stock too. We went on the platform to have a closer look and as a result I (Chris) got offered a cab ride down the line and back again, too good an opportunity to miss (see extra).
