Got Organised
Today's concert was given by a guest organist, Christopher Herrick, one of the world's leading concert organists.
The programme consisted of works by Parry, Mendelssohn and Farrington, this last a modern piece with echoes of Gershwin
We then bussed along to George Street for a dip into the Christian Aid Booksale, much reduced from former years but I still managed to find items to buy, mostly whodunnits that will be read and passed on.
By then tummies were rumbling (the Undercroft cafe closes at 2 pm, so we arrived far too late) so a walk to Waterstones for coffee and cake before the bus home proved a good alternative.
The previously summery weather has been cooled by haar and chilly east wind, but we have had none of the much-needed rain as yet.
