Morris On!

Just back from a super camera club evening, photographing Miserden Morris, dancing outside the Parish Church in Cirencester. One of my better ideas for a club practical night I think. Everyone seemed to enjoy it, dancers and photographers.

I got over 150 images, lots with long exposures using my variable ND filter which is super easy to use. I think 0.5s worked best, though I didn't quite get the results I was hoping for. A bit of a Marmite offering I guess. Mrsfb doesn't really like it!

I thought it would do for Mono Monday though. Lots of steps were involved.

Looks much sharper large.

Nearly 30 club members turned out and we were very lucky with the weather. I was a bit worried mid afternoon when it went really dark and we had thunder, but no rain. Some club members came to the pub afterwards, I think all the Morris dancers did, including their beast, Boris The Boar!
