Dyeing progress

Yesterday’s hawthorn bark looked like the top left after marinading overnight. I simmered it for an hour and it turned from a golden yellow to an orange,
I’ve put two pieces of silk in, one mordanted, one not, and have left them to soak.
Am rather excited to create a ‘non yellow’!
