Sizzling Sunday

Up early to walk the doggies. It was so beautiful out there. Then on early to church as I was cooking the lunch - first time cooking in the building though, as before we moved, I cooked at home and took it along.

Good to have the help of others of course. Great morning. Really encouraging. New faces as well. Loved having Frip and FatBob1962 with us today. I’ve missed his preaching and it was a great passage. They came back for a cup of tea and to see the house later too.

For some stupid reason, despite being dog-tired, I started hedge trimming. And as I started, I noticed the dreaded box hedge caterpillar had already begun its destructive course so I down-tooled and started spraying, as my friend Chris had advised. Used all 6 packets of treatment - so 18 litres of the stuff. Took several hours.

Dot.T and WelshMan arrived as I was finishing up and Elbows arrived at Gatwick - I only had to collect him from Enfield so that was cool.

It was a hot Sunday. A sizzling one even. A super sizzling sociable Sunday. A satisfying super sizzling sociable Sunday. :-)
